Holy Spirit Hospital Celebrate 50th Year In Mumbai- Patient,Staff,Doctors Come Together To Celebrate Its Golden Jubilee

Mumbai, January, 14, 2017: 

Holy Spirit Hospital that was started in 1960 with just an out-patient department in Andheri is celebrating its Golden jubilee on January 14, 2017. A 300 beded multi-speciality hospital with the objective “Service in Love” strive to provide affordable medical care to everyone without any discrimination for 50 long years. 

On 14th January, 2017 Holy spirit hospital gave flowers to their patients for their speedy recovery by spreading their message of Love. This was followed by a function, where the chief guest was Shri. Ravindra Waiker, Hon. Minister of state housing, Higher & Technical Education & guest of honor, Bishop John Rodrigues - Auxiliary Bishop of Bombay were present. 

Celebarting the golden jubilee in unique way, Hospital has organsied different fun games for staff, free healthcheckup in society & health awareness exhibition to educate people about diseases. Sisters from hospital distributed food packets for three days consisting of rice, pulses, sugar and bedsheets to underprivileged in Jogeshwari, Chakala, Marol and Goregaon to celebarte 50th year & new year 2017. Education sponsorship for 50 unaffordable children. 

For providing medical facilities from cradle to grave, along with quality healthcare at affordable cost, Holy Spirit is the second hospital in Mumbai to be awarded clinical excellence in Nursing by National Board of Hospitals & Healthcare providers. With an aim to provide excellent medical care in the broad specialities, with compassion and the best of nursing facilities, Holy Spirit gradually established from a small clinic to a 65 bed common ward hospital in 1967. It all started in 1960 with a small clinic, when a group of nuns from the Missionary Sisters Servants of Holy Spirit, Holland came to India. They have come a long way since then, started off with treating patients for basic fever, flu and snake bites in a small clinic within a dense forest like area to now providing treatment for cardiovascular diseases, cancer and many others in their multi-speciality Hospital.
