Another dream to be realized - Radiotherapy Oncology Centre

Holy Spirit Hospital has come a long way. Keeping in line with the service needs of the people the hospital regularly upgrades it’s facilities and services. Being true to the missionary zeal of its predecessors, it is important to keep looking ahead: What else can be done to help the sick and the suffering in Mumbai?

One of the areas where there is an urgent need is in the field of Radiotherapy in the treatment of cancer, especially with regard to its availability to the common people, in particular the suburban population. When considering the cost involved in setting up such a centre, we are aware that it is a challenging task. Yet we feel we are called to do it. Trusting in the Divine Providence of God, we move forward with courage and determination. May God bless our efforts to help the suffering humanity.

Estimated cost for setting up the Radiotherapy Centre Project

Construction of the building is in progress and we hope the Radiation Centre to be functioning by August-September 2009.

Cheque or D.D may be drawn in favor of “Society of the Servants of the Holy Spirit”.

 All donation made to our hospital are exempted from Income Tax under 80G.

This project is a great dream for us when we see the plight of cancer patients traveling all the way from suburbs to TATA hospital and other Centers in the city for availing this service. We wish to see that Cancer patients of the suburban area of Mumbai also receive this facility.

Experience has shown that through partnership and collaboration of committed supporters, great things have been achieved. The hospital is grateful to its many donors from India and abroad who have played a vital role in enabling the hospital to maintain its commitment to the common people with their generous contributions. We reach out once again to our well-wishers to help us alleviate the suffering of the thousands of cancer patients who flock to Mumbai for treatment only to find that modern radiotherapy facilities are pitifully few andmore often than not beyond their reach.
